Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML)

An invitation is extended to all women of our congregation.

Group meets in the Fellowship Hall

• First Thursday of each month
• Begins at 1:30 p.m.
• Short Devotion
• Business meeting
• Refreshments and Social Time

A lunch is served at 12 noon in the months of February, August & December.

The mission of St. John’s Ladies Aid shall be to carry out programs of Christian service to benefit our church and to help spread the Gospel of Christ through missions at home and abroad.

The mission of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League is to assist each woman of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.

The object of this organization is:

            1.  Mission Education

• Have Bible Study and discussion
• Promote use of LWML materials

              2.  Mission Inspiration

• Promote LWML Mission Grants
• Collect Mite Box offerings
• Provide Bibles for 3^rd Graders
• Provide Strength for Today for shut-ins
• Provide Portals of Prayer (Jail & Large Print)
• Collect Bethesda offering

3.  Mission Service     

• Visit ill and shut-ins
• Serve at funerals
• Serve in the community
• Promote events fostering Christian fellowship
• Help support missionaries through prayers and funds.
