The Rev. Dr. Gary William Zieroth, entered Concordia College (now called Concordia University), in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1982 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986. His area of concentration was counseling and psychology. He received his Master of Divinity degree at Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, Indiana in 1990. He served his vicarage year at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Edmonton, Alberta.
From 1990 to 1998, Pastor Zieroth served God's people at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort McMurray, Alberta, and King of Kings Lutheran Church in Saint Albert, Alberta, Canada. In 1998, he accepted a call to St. Paul’s Kingsville, Maryland.
Pastor Zieroth has a special interest in what the Bible teaches concerning marriage, families, and catechesis. This led him to pursue a Doctor of Ministry degree focusing on the area of Christian parenting. In October 2006, Pastor Zieroth completed and successfully defended his doctoral dissertation at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne. His dissertation is based on a Christian parenting course he developed while at St. Paul's. Pastor Zieroth has led Bible study retreats called Real Men Follow Jesus hosted by CTS in Fort Wayne and at pastoral conferences. He has also been interviewed several times on the Issues, Etc radio program on the subject of men and the church. He has written several sermon studies for Concordia Pulpit Resources and also serves as an adjunct professor at the seminary in Fort Wayne
In February 2009, Pastor Zieroth accepted a call to join us here at St. John’s as the Senior Pastor.
Pastor Zieroth's wife, JoAnn (Bickel), holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, also from Concordia Ann Arbor, as well as a Master of Music degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She previously taught in Lutheran schools in Fort Wayne and the Detroit area. They have been blessed with four children.
Pastor Greg Snow is a 1986 graduate of South Dakota State University, Brookings SD, and a 2000 graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO. He served as Vicar at St. John's Lutheran Church, Chaska, MN in 1998-1999 where he was Called, and continues to serve, as pastor since June 25, 2000.
Pastor Snow is a 2006 PLI (Pastoral Leadership Institute) graduate, and in 2010 received a Certificate in Pastoral Counseling from Bethel Seminary, St. Paul, MN.
He has a passion for outreach to the community and currently serves as the Pastoral Liaison for Love INC (In the Name of Christ), is a member of the Minnesota Crisis Consultation and Support Team, as well as the Chaplain for the City of Chaska Police Department. Developing relationships with city and county leaders, Law Enforcement Officials, and members of the business community allow open access for the love of Jesus to enter hearts that might otherwise be closed to the message of the Gospel.
He and his wife, Connie, share a heart for local, regional, and international mission work. Together they have been part of short term mission teams in India twice (2007 and 2010) and anxious to lead other teams to India, Uganda, and Haiti.
Pastor Snow and Connie are strong supporters of Lutheran Education and all four of their children have attended St. John's Lutheran School, Mayer Lutheran High School, and or Concordia, St. Paul: Jacob-24; Isaac-18; Clara-14; and Elly-8. In their spare time they like to hunt, fish, and spend some much needed family time at our camper on Lake Augusta in Annandale, MN.
We look forward to the opportunity to share the love of Jesus, God’s only Son, with you!
